Very pleased with how the finished poster turned out for Scholastic Education’s British Columbia Let’s Do Science : Light & Sound.
I had the fun of illustrating these four images, the team at Scholastic is fantastic to work with, always providing constructive direction and feedback. I was able to call on both my time living in British Columbia and my love of nature to bring accuracy to the vegetation growing through the seasons. The purpose of the poster is to teach kids how the angle of light affects the environment, from softer angles in autumn and spring, to more direct intense light in summer, and filtered light in winter.
Below is a snapshot of the work involved in illustrating the poster, including some of the sketches and layout notes.
