Another in my Upcycled Vintage Art series… this was a print on board, beautifully framed, given to me by a friend to “do something with.” The original painting was by H. Robert.

I enjoyed brightening up the sky with a peachy pink sunset, adding highlights on the stonework, and added in a giant octopus crawling out and among the people. I used acrylic to paint it on the board, and used white to “draw” on the octopus in shades before I went in with the blues. I used tracing paper to sketch directly on top before I started painting.
